Former NCAA Division I Goalkeeper | Personalized 1‑on‑1 Goalkeeper Training in Atlanta

Personalized 1‑on‑1 goalkeeper coaching for youth, high school, and college‑level players — welcoming both male and female goalkeepers at all stages of development.

One coach. One plan. Training built around the goalkeeper — not the program.

Goalkeeper development is highly individual. Footwork, positioning, confidence, and decision‑making — no two keepers are the same.

Real improvement comes from understanding the goalkeeper in front of you, not forcing them into a preset system.

My training is built around meeting each goalkeeper exactly where they are and helping them improve through personalized instruction, repetition, and clear, honest feedback. Because I work independently by design, every goalkeeper trains with the same coach every session. There’s no rotation between instructors and no conflicting philosophies — just consistent guidance built around the individual.

Whether a player is just starting out or continuing to refine advanced skills, the focus is always on strong fundamentals, game‑ready habits, and confidence that carries over into real matches. I prioritize practical development — the kind of improvements that actually show up on game day.

I believe goalkeeper training should be challenging, but also fun. Too often, private coaching becomes overly rigid or stressful, especially for younger players. My sessions are designed to keep goalkeepers engaged, enjoying the position, and excited to keep learning. At the end of the day, goalkeepers improve fastest when they enjoy the process, not just the results.

That said, for high school players or college‑aspiring goalkeepers looking for a more demanding, high‑intensity training environment, I can absolutely provide that level of structure and intensity. Whether it’s tuning up for competitive club soccer, preparing for a high school season, or getting ready for collegiate play, sessions can be tailored to push performance, focus, and mental toughness when appropriate.

More than anything, I value authentic relationships. Goalkeeper development is physical, mental, and emotional — and having someone in your corner who understands your game and genuinely cares about your progress makes a difference. Every session is adjusted to the player’s age, experience, and goals, because the best training is the training that fits the goalkeeper.

Meet Coach Jake

I’m Jake Beyer, a former Division I college goalkeeper with a lifelong passion for the position. During my collegiate career, I ranked top five nationally in saves and earned All‑Conference honors, competing at a high level against some of the best players in the country.

After finishing college, I transitioned into a full‑time career in commercial real estate finance, where I continue to work today. Alongside my professional career, I’ve stayed closely connected to the game as a goalkeeper coach, focusing on individualized, 1‑on‑1 development for players at every stage.

Soccer has always been a big part of my life and my family. My younger Sister played four years of collegiate soccer and earned multiple All‑Conference honors, and my Dad was an All‑American during his playing career. Growing up around high‑level athletes and coaches shaped how I understand the game and how I approach development.

I understand the technical, mental, and physical demands of playing goalkeeper — from learning the basics for the first time to preparing for high‑level competition. My coaching style is detail‑oriented, supportive, and tailored to each athlete’s goals, confidence level, and learning style.

Outside of soccer, I’m an engaged professional living in the Buckhead area with my fiancée (pictured on the left). I take pride in being reliable, organized, and easy to work with. Coaching is my way of giving back to the game that gave me so much, and I care just as much about helping goalkeepers grow as people as I do helping them improve on the field.

I currently offer private 1‑on‑1 goalkeeper training throughout the Metro Atlanta area and primarily work evenings and weekends.
